TCM
Therapeutic Actions: Clears heat, decreases Heart fire, relieves
excess water, and treats various urinary dysfunctions due to damp
heat in the Lower Warmer.
TCM
Indications: Urinary disorders due to Damp Heat,
urinary blockage, dark, cloudy, difficult, burning or painful urination,
blood in the urine, extreme thirst, dry throat, red eyes, nosebleeds,
mouth or tongue sores; irritability.
Modern
Indications: Acute urethritis, cystitis, pyelitis,
stone or infection in urinary system marked by stranguria with the
symptoms of subjective sensation of spasmodic distention and fullness
of the lower abdomen, distending pain in the loins and abdomen.
Comments:
Because this formula relieves heat in the Lower Warmer, conditions
like yeast infections and prostate problems can benefit from this
herbal formula. Its essence is cold and should not be used over
a long period.
